Awni M. Al Zu’bi – Founder, Senior Counsel & Member of Parliament

Awni M. Al Zu’bi’s career is a story of dedication to both the rule of law and public service. Beginning as an accountant before moving into tax auditing with Jordan’s Income and Sales Tax Department, he developed a rare understanding of how financial systems interact with regulation. His expertise deepened during his years as a tax consultant at PwC, where he advised businesses on compliance and strategy.

In 2000, he founded Awni Al Zu’bi Law Firm, which has since become one of Jordan’s most respected independent practices. Under his leadership, the firm pioneered the integration of legal and tax advisory services—an approach that continues to distinguish it in the market. Mr. Al Zu’bi has represented multinational corporations, international organizations, and diplomatic missions, leading high-value cases before Jordan’s civil and administrative courts, and guiding clients through complex mergers, restructurings, and compliance challenges.

Alongside his legal practice, Mr. Al Zu’bi was elected as a Member of the Jordanian Parliament, where he actively contributes to legislative development, economic reform, and oversight of executive policies. His parliamentary work includes serving on both the Legal and Financial Committees, and as Co-Rapporteur of the Standing Committee on Peace and International Security at the Inter-Parliamentary Union, where he promoted dialogue on justice and global security.

His leadership extends beyond law and politics. As President of Al-Ramtha Sports Club and the Horan Plain Cultural Forum, he has championed youth development and cultural preservation.

Today, Awni Al Zu’bi continues to bridge practice and policy, advocating for fair process, strategic governance, and global cooperation. His career represents a blend of professional integrity, institutional trust, and forward-looking leadership that defines the firm’s values.
